Älgstugan - The Forest Is Calling
An authentic 19th-century forest cabin with modern comforts and beautiful natural surroundings
Your perfect retreat in the wild natural beauty of Sweden
Welcome to Älgstugan, a charming 19th-century cabin set deep in the Swedish forest. An authentic nature experience awaits you, free from outside disturbances – no one overlooking you and no neighbours nearby. This peaceful retreat is perfect for anyone seeking calm and relaxation surrounded by unspoilt nature. New for autumn 2025 is the Grillkåta, a communal space where you can gather around the fire on evenings and rainy days.
Älgstugan combines traditional charm with much-appreciated modern comfort. The property is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay – from a well-functioning kitchen to your own sauna and hot water. Wood-fired heating keeps the cabin cosy during the colder months, while the open fireplace and patio offer a welcoming atmosphere all year round. Free wifi keeps you connected when you need it, and free parking is available right on the grounds. All the extras, such as firewood, bath towels, hand towels and a boat, are included in the price – no hidden costs.
Älgstugan is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers. Lovely walking paths wind through the forest down to the lake, where you can fish (a fishing permit is required) or simply enjoy the calm of the water. Autumn brings fantastic mushroom-picking areas, while all year round you can relax by your own open fire or in the private sauna. This location is ideal for anyone who wants to escape the stress of everyday life and reconnect with nature.
